My painting of ‘Pansies’ by Sherry Joiner a tribute to my mother Maria

My Brazilian Mom loved pansies and grew a garden full of those beautiful black velvet centered flowers that bore the expression of grumpy ol’ men in her adult and senior years. I just wanted to take the opportunity to say ‘hello’ and to send you a warm, happy, and special Mother’s Day wish, mom, while you reside in heaven. And to all the mother’s up there and who are living now on earth, taking care of your children, nurturing them with your love. Happy Mother’s Day! Feliz Mae Dia to my familia in Brazil. Mom passed in 1989 by suicide. I miss her sweet smile.

May 22/2022, Volunteer and participated in NAMI NW Walks Clackamas NAMI, Peninsula Park Portland Oregon. Walk for Awareness, to educate and advocate for anyone with mental health issues and to insure encouragement, hope and right the wrong of stigma. Every mental health matters.

. 7/15/2021 Donated two paintings and several Sherry Goes Sane and Last Miracle Maria books for raffle at Drop in Vaccine Center, Providence Willamette Falls Education Center for support of mental health issues, addiction, loved one, vaccine receivers and for the development of vaccines through NAMI Clackamas
