When I was young, I broke out of my shell as Mom, who was Brazilian, played Brasil 66′ by Sergio Mendes on her old phonograph. I was repeating the past in dreams and waking hours and needed a release. I began swinging my hips, snapping my fingers, around the living room and kitchen to the bossa nova and jazz rhythms of Brasil 66.’ I, so gracefully, took a liking for the art and beauty of the Brazilian music and beat. It connected me with reality. My painting of a Brazilian dancer.

May 22/2022, Volunteer and participated in NAMI NW Walks Clackamas NAMI, Peninsula Park Portland Oregon. Walk for Awareness, to educate and advocate for anyone with mental health issues and to insure encouragement, hope and right the wrong of stigma. Every mental health matters.

. 7/15/2021 Donated two paintings and several Sherry Goes Sane and Last Miracle Maria books for raffle at Drop in Vaccine Center, Providence Willamette Falls Education Center for support of mental health issues, addiction, loved one, vaccine receivers and for the development of vaccines through NAMI Clackamas
