JULY 4

There were times when I was able to create a safe place for myself living with schizoaffective disorder and others. I was a speaker for NAMI Oregon. Pain and suffering had awaited our lives externally, but I was given the chance to help others learn from my private life and the symptoms of this disorder internally. I gave my experiences through painting and mental health. Following protocols and mental health programs offered, I dealt with and accepted mental health issues. I feel so sorry to hear about the tragedy at the July 4th parade. The loss is devastating. It shouldn’t have happened. July 4th is a day of peace and freedom. The photo is of me speaking at the Village Green in Cottage Grove for NAMI Oregon Annual Conference.
