What a beautiful embracing time it is for the tribal communities and our Nation to have Representatve Deb Haaland elected for Secretary of Interior. Throughout the years I did portraits of Native Americans and I admire the strengths, beauty and arts of the Native American Indians and their way of life. My father was part Ute Indian and I have Native American ancestry. This is a painting I did of a Native American woman. Portrait by Sherry M. Joiner

May 28/2022-May 30/ 2022 Entered four paintings I painted in the Multnomah County Fair. Theme of the exhibit is For All Those Who Serve, Memorial Day Weekend.

May 22/2022, Volunteer and participated in NAMI NW Walks Clackamas NAMI, Peninsula Park Portland Oregon. Walk for Awareness, to educate and advocate for anyone with mental health issues and to insure encouragement, hope and right the wrong of stigma. Every mental health matters.

. 7/15/2021 Donated two paintings and several Sherry Goes Sane and Last Miracle Maria books for raffle at Drop in Vaccine Center, Providence Willamette Falls Education Center for support of mental health issues, addiction, loved one, vaccine receivers and for the development of vaccines through NAMI Clackamas

10/17-10/18/20. Sherry exhibits three of her oil paintings in the Modified Multnomah County Fair, at Oak’s Park, Portland, Oregon, Sat. 1 pm-6pm. Sun.11 am.-4pm. Please come by and enjoy. The theme of the show is “Honoring those who serve.”
