Flappers Rock
Over night I became a Flapper. NAMI Clackamas had a Roaring Twenties Benefit Auction at Gray Gables Estate 3009 SE Chestnut St. in Portland Oregon on September 21, 2019, 5:30-9:30 pm. The clientele wore glamorous dresses with glitter and sequences, and black suits and suspenders. My friend Connie Emmons and I were greeters for this event. We brought dresses, scarves, pins, and shawls with the roaring twenties ‘look’ and Connie brought a beautiful array of stylish twenties hats for men and women to highlight our evening. We had fun dressing up the customers who wanted to add more accent to their outfits and costumes. I donated my painting of the “Flapper” to a Silent Auction and my painting was sold and donated to NAMI Clackamas’s office. It was a grand night. I was so honored to be a part of it.
