Making soul boxes from images of my paintings
Yesterday, I got together with two precious ladies of common interests, and we made Soul Boxes to comfort the victims of gun violence and to let them know we stand for them. My friend, Linda, took a picture of our boxes in a pattern of a quilt. You can see the work of other artists in this quilt also. I am so honored to be part of this art project to bring awareness to gun violence. I was fortunate to make a quilt panel for my brother Doug who passed away from AIDS when the AIDS Quilt was being made. It is a great way to heal.
