Celebrating the life of my father and other veterans who put their lives on the line to save our people and their country

My father, James Standing, an Army Sergeant during World War II who was stationed in Natal, Brazil. He was a pitcher back East for a baseball team named the “Darlings.”

Sherry Joiner is the author of Sherry Goes Sane: Living A Life With Schizo-Affective Disorder. She lives with bipolar and schizo-affective disorders. She is active as a speaker with NAMI in their In Our Own Voices programs, and also speaks at psych wards.

May 22/2022, Volunteer and participated in NAMI NW Walks Clackamas NAMI, Peninsula Park Portland Oregon. Walk for Awareness, to educate and advocate for anyone with mental health issues and to insure encouragement, hope and right the wrong of stigma. Every mental health matters.

. 7/15/2021 Donated two paintings and several Sherry Goes Sane and Last Miracle Maria books for raffle at Drop in Vaccine Center, Providence Willamette Falls Education Center for support of mental health issues, addiction, loved one, vaccine receivers and for the development of vaccines through NAMI Clackamas
