Grieving for my brother Doug a pioneer of marriage equality

My precious little soul brother, Doug, imitating me while we pose on the living room couch when he was two. His acting took him to great heights, actor at U of O and on the dean’s list for acting. Suddenly, AIDS split our soulful connection Sept. 16, 27 years ago and left me to mourn for the love, admiration, compassion, humor and talent of my very close brother and friend, Roy Douglas Crawford who fought for equal marriage rights.

May 28/2022-May 30/ 2022 Entered four paintings I painted in the Multnomah County Fair. Theme of the exhibit is For All Those Who Serve, Memorial Day Weekend.

May 22/2022, Volunteer and participated in NAMI NW Walks Clackamas NAMI, Peninsula Park Portland Oregon. Walk for Awareness, to educate and advocate for anyone with mental health issues and to insure encouragement, hope and right the wrong of stigma. Every mental health matters.

. 7/15/2021 Donated two paintings and several Sherry Goes Sane and Last Miracle Maria books for raffle at Drop in Vaccine Center, Providence Willamette Falls Education Center for support of mental health issues, addiction, loved one, vaccine receivers and for the development of vaccines through NAMI Clackamas

5/30/20 NAMI WALKS NW, National Day of Hope, a virtual event. Did an internal 1/2 mile walk for mental illness, justice and peace.

9/21/19 NAMI Clackamas Roaring Twenties Benefit Auction at Gray Gables Estate, 3009 SE Chestnut Portland, Oregon. Sherry entered her portrait of a “Flapper,” in a silent auction that was bid on and donated to NAMI Clackamas office.
