At Salem Oregon Capitol receiving my Equal Pay 1971 Award, Celebrating today, July 2nd, 2025, Women;s Rights and the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Let Freedom and Justice ring. Happy International Equal Pay Day. I never thought I had the courage, strength, perseverance and power to fight for my equal pay case in 1971. I answered questions that I was fighting for my rights when after contacting a labor commissioner to file my equal pay complaint against my employer.. I took my alone trek go to the Capitol in Salem, Oregon, to talk with the Attorney General and to discuss with the Attorney General Associate. I received an equal pay statement award that the Attorney General responded with saying that there will no longer be discrimination of pay in the work force and a reimbursement settlement from my employer. And I was able to write my life’s story about it. Author and Artist Sherry M Joiner
