Happy Nurse’s Week and Mother’s Day weekend, to my Brazilian mom, Maria, who was a skilled and compassionate LPN in the US giving care to all ages. She taught me how to walk, stand, and function when I contracted two episodes of polio that crippled me.. Life and difficulties were unkind to her and she took her life ,in 1989. I wrote her Life’s Story ,Last Miracle for Maria. Muito amor Mae,Eu saudades.

May 22/2022, Volunteer and participated in NAMI NW Walks Clackamas NAMI, Peninsula Park Portland Oregon. Walk for Awareness, to educate and advocate for anyone with mental health issues and to insure encouragement, hope and right the wrong of stigma. Every mental health matters.

. 7/15/2021 Donated two paintings and several Sherry Goes Sane and Last Miracle Maria books for raffle at Drop in Vaccine Center, Providence Willamette Falls Education Center for support of mental health issues, addiction, loved one, vaccine receivers and for the development of vaccines through NAMI Clackamas
