The Tale of Two Oceans

A Poem by Artist and Author, Sherry M Joiner

My Life was cast into buckets of dust, tossed and turned between two oceans rushing to shore, An ol’ friend a brother rushed in to help and said that he would provide for me and there would be no more, H e made a pen ink mark on my forehead then bade me a dew. He was an eccentric actor, he was getting old, retired and ready to start a new. A set of waves moved in and clung to the shore. A new brother’s love blotted the stain on my forehead and said there is no more. I was clothed in street garments, not the flair I stood before the old brother with. Hair in pageboy cut short for cause known darie and dith. I churned like the ocean inspired by the scene as my emotions grew higher. my paintbrush moved across my canvas and, the two oceans brought my sanity back into being.
